We have been noticing and noting attributes of the Learner Profile everywhere around the school.
Ms. Sammon's 8th grade art classes learned from presentations by local printmaker April Bleakney and local musician and filmmaker Bob Sammon. They spoke about their own experiences with direct action as well as how they have communicated their stories and opinions through art. These principled artists create the be the change.
Mrs. Arens is quite knowledgeable and a scientist and an inquirer. She explores spiders with her classes this week. Grade 5 students joined the global read aloud with author and communicator, Linda Sue Park.
In Grade One, communicators share timelines featuring past, present and future.
Book Character Day is a celebration of the Learner Profile. Check out these character profiles from readers and writers in Grades One and Three.

We celebrated the learner profile and lived the learner profile. These costume designs require knowledge, thinking, risk-taking and communicating.
Check out our CIS musicians in the All-City Arts performance. This performance took knowledge, practice, courage and an open mind. A big thank you to Mr. Levy who was "instrumental" in putting this together. This is a huge task and we truly appreciate his time and commitment to showcasing our talented performers.
One last reminder from our change makers. If you haven't already ...
