Thinking it through

We have been busy learning and thinking in the new year. According to the IB, thinkers "use critical and creative thinking skills to analyze and take responsible action on complex problems. They exercise initiative in making reasoned, ethical decisions."


Thinkers are everywhere at CIS.


K- 2 Thinkers show initiative by taking charge of difficult challenges and thinking through ideas and decisions.

Students recognized their classmates who think before they respond and show their love of learning.

Thes students were recognized for things like thinking about more than one way to solve a really challenging problem and thinking for themselves.

 

Thinking about our one word for the new year to thoughtfully plan for action in the

new year.


We respond to The Arts and think through the role of art in our lives as audience members and creators.

Grade 8 thinkers use critical and creative thinking skills to analyze literature and make connections to Individuals and Societies through Socratic Seminars.


Community Projects in Grade Eight are coming together. They are ready to take responsible action on complex problems and exercise initiative in making reasoned, ethical decisions as they plan.
